When we visit Sigourney IA we always have breakfast at the Sigourney Cafe. The food portion is generous, the eggs are cooked just right and the service is always friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is the coffee is not strong enough for me although it might be fine for most people-I like coffee strong enough to wrestle! But I definitely would recommend the cafe breakfast!
We've been coming here since Fall 2016. Nice wait staff, good cooks, good food, clean dishes, utensils, tables, bathrooms. One waitress always pleasant, helpful, greets all customers coming in & thanking those as they leave, Roma a spitfire of energy.
Simple small town cafe with good food. Very nice staff and good service. I've eaten breakfast here a few times and it has always been great. The prices are very fair.
Ate here June 30 while on a casual drive on country roads. Found the food to be quite good. We each had the ribs. The French fries I had were very good. The meals came with a salad - very fresh and good - and rolls and ice cream came with the meal. Best of all, prices throughout the menu seemed quite reasonable. The service was very good also and the place appeared clean. Definitely would go there again if in Sigourney.
I couldn't understand why everyone was raving about this place because from the outside it looked like a dump. Inside the kitchen was small. Finally I gave in and gave it a shot. The staff is filled with very kind and hard working people. The servers have you covered. They have specials that are priced low and on some days the specials are all you can eat. The menu is not huge but it isn't skimpy either so there is allot to choose from. And did I say the prices are low? They are. And the food, it's great! Now every chance I get I go there. I'm always greeted with a smile. I highly recommend the place. I'm a believer now.
This is a great small town place. Upon walking in you can still tell this is the old pizza hut that used to be in town. They have turned it into an amazing small town diner. The menu has all the usual diner food. Cheeseburger, tenderloins, lots of homemade goodies! I went here with my wife and parents. My dad got the chicken special of the day. It was chicken cooked in a special sauce and a side of rice. He loved it. My mom got a cheeseburger. She said it was cooked just right and really juicy. My wife got the double cheeseburger with bacon. She said it was a really delicious burger. I got the pork tenderloin. It was a really good tenderloin not over breaded but just right! I will for sure be back to the place any time I am in the area. The waitress was a riot she is an older short lady that more a less gives you dinner with a fun side of entertainment. This is just what Sigourney needed a nice food place to keep the locals and travelers happy!
